The reason is: when the MgO-CaO particles contact the CaO-SiO2 slag, the fCaO dissolved from the magnesia-carbon MgO-CaO sand particles will immediately react with the slag components to form a high melting point and 2CaO·SiO2 and 3CaO·SiO2 solidified dense On the surface of the brick, the slag becomes highly viscous and forms a solid protective layer on the brick surface, thereby improving the durability of the magnesia-carbon-calcium brick lining.
At the same time, in the CaO-Al2O3 slag, the loss of MgOCaO-C bricks is serious, and increases with the increase of CaO in the bricks. The reason is that the fCaO dissolved from the refractory brick will immediately dissolve in the CaO-Al2O3 system slag to generate 12CaO 7A12O3 and other low melting point substances, which are discharged from the surface of the brick in the slag in a molten state, which accelerates the conversion of the brick to the slag. In the dissolution. On the contrary, magnesia carbon bricks are easily corroded by CaO-SiO2 slag, but have high resistance to CaO-Al2O3 slag.

The main damage mechanism of magnesia-carbon lining in the flooded line of refining ladle is the oxidation of C.
