1.High bulk density and high melting point. Proper sintering between granules under high temperature, but the sintering layer should be thin. High bulk density and proper sintering could keep nozzle filling compound from being scattered and floating into molten steel. 2.Good high temperature chemical stability, no chemical reaction with ladle nozzle , good corrosion resistance and non-wettability to molten steel and slag. 3.Proper granularity. If the granules are too big, molten steel could penetrate into the gaps between them, if too small, the granules could be integrated under high temperature. 4.Natural repose angle should be as small as possible, surface of granules should be smooth and evasive to create good fluidity, which could prevent arching inside the nozzle. 5.Moisture content should be less than 0.5%.
