Cause analysis of steel leakage between plates during rapid replacement of submerged nozzle

 

The causes of steel leakage between plates during continuous casting quick change submerged nozzle are analyzed. The results show that the main causes of steel leakage between plates of submerged entry nozzle are related to factors such as nozzle surface oxidation, slow extension speed of quick change cylinder and unreasonable operation of nozzle change.?

According to the analysis results, corresponding control measures are formulated, including improving the layout of argon pipeline in tundish, By improving the extension speed and installation accuracy of the quick change cylinder, improving the oxidation resistance of the nozzle surface, optimizing the baking process of the submerged nozzle, changing the nozzle operation and increasing the argon sealing flow, the annual steel leakage between plates of the caster is finally reduced from an average of 4 times to 0 times, and a good control effect is achieved.
