1. Optimize refining slag system
In the refining process, light burned dolomite is added to increase the MgO concentration in the slag, improve the basicity and viscosity of the slag, control the amount of slag in the converter and reduce the FeO content in the slag. The alkalinity of refining slag is controlled in the range of 4.2 ~ 5.0, the FeO content in slag is controlled at about 0.5%, and the viscosity of slag is adjusted, and the MgO content in slag is controlled at about 12%, which can effectively reduce the corrosion of slag to magnesia carbon brick.2. Improve the material of slag line brick
It is found that the higher the purity of magnesia used in ladle magnesia carbon brick, the less B2O3 in impurities and the higher the proportion of carbon and sulfur, the better the corrosion resistance of lining brick. It shows the effect of carbon content on the melting loss depth of magnesia carbon brick in slag line. The main principle is that the oxidation in magnesia carbon brick is the oxidation of graphite in brick, and graphite has non wettability to slag, so magnesia carbon brick with high carbon content has better slag erosion resistance. Improving the material of magnesia carbon brick of slag line, selecting high purity fused magnesia as raw material, and controlling the carbon content at about 14% can effectively improve the corrosion resistance of slag line.
