Effect of molten steel smelting on breakout of sliding nozzle

 When pouring calcium treated molten steel, Ca and Cao in molten steel will react with Al2O3 and SiO2 in aluminum carbon or aluminum zirconium carbon sliding plate brick to form cao.sio2 and cao.sio2.al2o3 with low melting point. These low melts are washed away by molten steel, resulting in the rapid reduction of Al2O3 and SiO2 content on the surface of sliding plate brick, resulting in excessive corrosion of working surface of sliding plate brick, resulting in steel inclusion or breakout between sliding plate bricks.

When the oxygen content in the molten steel is high, the carbon and graphite in the sliding plate will be oxidized to form a decarburization layer, which will increase the porosity and reduce the strength of the working face of the sliding plate brick, and aggravate the mechanical erosion and chemical erosion of the molten steel to the sliding plate brick.

After tapping, the temperature of molten steel in the ladle is too high, and some heats are above 1660 ℃. Without refining outside the furnace to adjust the temperature, the thermomechanical corrosion and thermochemical corrosion on the refractory ceramic fiber board of the sliding nozzle are intensified, resulting in cracking, steel penetration and steel leakage of the sliding nozzle.
