At present, some units have adopted furnace manipulators or fully automatic calcium carbide furnaces, but many of them still use manual operations. There will be many security risks in this process.
1: Burns. When the furnace pressure of the stone furnace is too high, the liquid calcium carbide or other debris in the furnace will be sprayed onto the furnace platform during the firing process, which may easily cause burns to the operators; during the process of oxygen blowing from the furnace, if the isolation protection is not in place, it will also cause burns to the operators; In the process of handling calcium carbide from the furnace runner, if the operation is improper or the personal protection is not in place, it may also cause burns to the operators.
2: Fire and explosion. During the baking process, the discharge nozzle leaks, the boiler nozzle circulating water pipe leaks, etc. Contact with calcium carbide will cause burns; during the baking process, there is water or damp debris in the calcium carbide pot, which will cause flashing when contacted with the thermo calcium; there is water in the discharge track, and thermoelectric power stone contact can cause fire; water in the oxygen blowpipe may cause an explosion.
3: Electric shock. During the firing process, if the insulation of the conductive equipment on the firing machine is damaged or the protection is not in place, it may cause electric shock to the operator.

4: Mechanical damage. Operate the furnace in violation of regulations; the compressed air pipe is not tightly bound and collapsed; the winch is malfunctioning, a tug-of-war phenomenon occurs, and the furnace trolley is overturned; the protective baffle of the calcium carbide crusher in front of the furnace is misplaced or missing, and mechanical damage may occur.
